Thirsty Thursdays:

Anywhere 'doing it right'... and in the United Kingdom particularly... a Boilermaker is a shot of bourbon or rye whiskey dropping into a glass of English Pale Ale. When beer is merely served as a chaser to the whisky, Wikipedia points out that the drink is often simply called 'a beer and a shot'. Well hot damn, thanks for the clarification Wiki.
If you find yourself travelling with a friend cross country... especially to a place where the beer flows like wine and beautiful woman instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano... You boys better be prepared to buy a round of these, whether you spill the salt or not!
